Angel Yap Yung Chien

Angel Yap Yung Chien graduated with LL.B (Hons) from the University of London (External) in 2015. She has over 10 years’ experience in handling legal documents, out of which around 5 years in drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts with commercial terms as an in-house legal assistant manager in a Singapore listed company. She is an efficient in-house legal professional dealing confidently with changing and conflicting priorities and who is client focused building strong relationships with internal and external clients.

After working for 7 years in Singapore, Ms. Yap has returned to Johor Bahru, Malaysia and passed her Certificate in Legal Practice in 2019. She did her pupilage with Messrs Lee & Tengku Azrina and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya on 24 February 2021.

Ms. Yap has wide experience in corporate and commercial and property matters. She provides advice on dealings in relation to foreign direct investment to multi-national corporations, corporate exercises, commercial contracts, banking and labour matters. She also assists clients in property dealings and will writing. She is constantly a team member in conducting various due diligence and corporate exercises for private companies and public-listed companies.

She is currently an Independent Director as well as Audit and Remuneration Committee of Axteria Group Berhad, formerly Acoustech Berhad, a Malaysia-based investment holding company.
